Loco Bloco’s teaching Artist In Training Program (TAT) is designed for Transitional Aged Youth (18-24) who are motivated to gain the skills and experience necessary to become an effective, professional, community Teaching Artists. We are looking for emerging artists who possess a passion for youth development and using the arts as a tool for social change to join our 2019 TAT cohort.
Loco Bloco TATs are given the valuable opportunity to work under the direct mentorship of Loco Bloco’s lead Artistic staff and Master Teaching Artists: Pedro Gomez (music) and Vanessa Sanchez (dance). They will receive training and individual coaching in the best practices and principles of Arts Education, Creative Youth Development and Artivism as well as hands-on experience serving as a Teaching Assistant within Loco Bloco’s Carnaval program.
Upon completion of the program, TATs will receive official certification of training from Loco Bloco as well an Honorarium of up to $1000 (based upon total completed hours)
